I have never made red velvet cupcakes and I never really understood the hype of why they were so amazing. Maybe it was the cream cheese icing that is pairs with it. When I asked others what the taste of red velvet cupcakes were, they really did not have an answer. When I tried it for the first time, I seriously did not have any idea how to describe the flavors. It is basically its own distinct flavor. My mom described it as a mix between a vanilla and chocolate cupcake. That made sense. I brought them into work and everyone loved them. One of the workers came up to me and told me that she did not eat pork chops but if that cream cheese frosting was all over it, she definitely would. I would definitely take that as a compliment! 🙂
I have never made a pasta salad but my mom absolutely loves them. She always gets the Italian Pasta Salad from the store. I decided to try out a Greek Pasta Salad. Next will be Italian 🙂 I love that you can basically add whatever you want to a pasta salad. Some people add meats like salami or cubes of different cheese. I wanted to make this one a little more healthier so I went for only veggies.
This is by far one of my favorite chicken recipes. I made it a while ago and have meant to share it. My sister loves this recipe that I have had to prep the whole meal for her so she could cook it up. She likes dishes that are easy and this is an easy dish to prepare but I like to help her out 🙂
You can pair this chicken with just about any side dish. I also like to have honey mustard on hand to dip it in, but it is good by itself too.
I am finally getting some of my recipes back on here… Sorry for the lack of posting. I wanted to share this recipe I did for Father’s Day. This Rum Glazed Grilled Chicken is now one of my sisters favorite and on the top favorites of the rest of the family. It is super simple and I had all the ingredients at home so it was super convenient. 🙂 You are definitely going to want to reserve some of the glaze for dipping purposes. My brother could not get enough of it!
Anytime my mom hosted a party or had to bring a dish to a party she always made her Black Bean Salsa. It is super simple to prepare and packed with flavor. Not to mention it is rather healthy for you! Last week I made it and gave out samples at the café. It was a hit! Everyone loved it. Now we are going to feature it on our menu. The best part is it is so easy to make that the kids I work love that they can do it by themselves (well except for the chopping).
This salsa keeps great in the refrigerator. It gets better day after day as all the ingredients marry together.
I was trying to figure out my last variation when I came across some snickers in my cabinet. Honestly I have no clue how they were still there considering snickers are very popular in my house and do not last long. But to my luck, I had some and decided to make a Snickers scone. This is by far my favorite!
Of course I had to add almonds into my fourth variation for my mom. She absolutely loves almonds. 🙂
