Wee Chocolate Chip Scones

My Wee Vanilla Scones were such a hit at my house that I wanted to figure out different ways to incorporate flavors besides in the glaze. Plus these variations will be perfect for the kids to help with at the café. I have 5 different variations and used the dough from one recipe. You can use the whole dough recipe and make one type of scone or make many different kinds.

Ingredients: (makes 20 scones)

1 batch of Wee Vanilla Scones

1 1/4 Cups Chocolate Chips

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Follow recipe for Wee Vanilla Scones. After dividing dough into 5 balls, in each ball kneaded in 1/4 Cup chocolate chips.

Flatten into a square with 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into 4 triangles.

Bake for 10-12 minutes until light golden.

Once cooled, drizzle with vanilla glaze ( 3/4 Cup powdered sugar, drop of vanilla, and a splash of milk).

About kristinegough86

I have the passion to bake and love trying new recipes! I work at a school for children with disabilities as a manager of a cafe. This cafe allows the students learn the ability to work with the public and in the near future I am going to be able to bake with the students and let them learn about the love and passion there is to baking. :) I prefer baking over cooking although I do love to cook as well. I hardly ever repeat a recipe. I love my family, dogs, friends, and job. One day I will have my own bakery and I can not wait. Until then I am going to continue baking my little heart out.
