Of course I had to add almonds into my fourth variation for my mom. She absolutely loves almonds. 🙂
Ingredients: (makes 20 scones)
1 batch of Wee Vanilla Scones
1 1/4 Cups Sliced Almonds
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Follow recipe for Wee Vanilla Scones. After dividing dough into 5 balls, in each ball kneaded in 1/4 Cup sliced almonds.
Flatten into a square with 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into 4 triangles.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until light golden.
Once cooled, drizzle with vanilla glaze ( 3/4 Cup powdered sugar, drop of vanilla, and a splash of milk).
