Cinnamon Sugar Butter Cookies

Tis’ the season for cookies, cookies, and more cookies. 🙂 I am officially on the hunt for some new recipes to test and I found two that are on my list of favorites. This one is a Cinnamon Sugar Butter Cookie. It taste just like a snickerdoodle but better! It is super simple to make and you probably have all the ingredients already in your house. This cookie is soft and melts in your mouth. Happy baking!

Ingredients: (makes 3 doz cookies)

2 1/2 Cup All-purpose Flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 Cup light brown sugar, packed

1/2 Cup sugar

1 Cup unsalted butter, softened

2 eggs

2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping: 1/4 Cup sugar and 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon

Preheat oven to 300 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

With a stand mixer, beat butter and both sugars until light and creamy. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and beat until fluffy.

In a separate bowl sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.

Slowly add flour mixture into butter mixture. Dough will be soft.

In a small bowl mix together topping ingredients. Drop 1 inch cookies into mixture and roll around. Try not to lose the ball shape.

Place on baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. They will be slightly soft. Allow to cool a bit before transferring to cooling rack.

About kristinegough86

I have the passion to bake and love trying new recipes! I work at a school for children with disabilities as a manager of a cafe. This cafe allows the students learn the ability to work with the public and in the near future I am going to be able to bake with the students and let them learn about the love and passion there is to baking. :) I prefer baking over cooking although I do love to cook as well. I hardly ever repeat a recipe. I love my family, dogs, friends, and job. One day I will have my own bakery and I can not wait. Until then I am going to continue baking my little heart out.
