Butterscotch Clusters

Standard

My Aunt Peggy use to make these delicious Butterscotch Clusters when I was little and eventually my mom got the recipe from her and she would make them for us kids. I think I could sit and eat all of them if I could. These cookies introduced me to butterscotch which then caused me to have this insane addition to anything butterscotch. These cookies are super simple to make and perfect for a quick snack.

Cinnamon Pecan Coffee Cake

I bought a bag of cinnamon chips and I was determined to make a coffee cake with them. I have never used cinnamon chips so I figured that there would be chips all throughout the cake. I was wrong. They melted causing this amazing gooey cinnamon goodness throughout. Pure perfection!!

Ranch Red Potatoes

Standard

I absolutely love red potatoes. Using red potatoes to make mashed potatoes is my favorite but I decided to do a baking/ roasting method this time. Normally when I bake my potatoes I season them with olive oil, salt and pepper. Very simple. I wanted to add some more flavors and went through my cabinet and found some ranch seasoning packets I normally use to season my popcorn (yes ranch seasoning in popcorn is amazing!) These Ranch Red Potatoes came out perfect and were a huge hit with everyone in my family.

Slow Cooked Pot Roast

Standard

I recently went to my friend’s house and her mom made this amazing pot roast. I think ever since then, I have dreamed of pot roast that literally just falls apart when you touch it. So I decided for my dad’s birthday dinner to try out a pot roast recipe. I called up my friends mom and she told me how she made it. I was excited at how easy the recipe sounded. It had three simple ingredients. Roast, seasoning packet, and water.

I added beef broth as well as water to add some more flavor and I ended up using a different packet of seasoning because the grocery store did not have the brand my friend’s mom used. The roast turned out amazing! It was juicy, tender, and fell apart where I barely even had to use a knife.

Triple Threat Cookie

Standard

What is a Triple Threat Cookie you may ask? This scrumptious little treat is packed with chocolate! It is a chocolate cookie with white chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips. If you are a chocolate lover, then this is the cookie for you! I brought this cookie into work and my coworkers said it tasted like a brownie. I baked them until they were just done to keep that soft cookie feel to them. I have never really ventured into a chocolate cookie. I figured it was time to try and these turned out just how I would imagine them. TASTEFULLY SCRUMPTIOUS!
