Balsamic Dijon Steak


I decided tonight that I was going to venture into the world of steak. I have never cooked steak before and I was up for the challenge. I was looking at several marinade recipes, trying to put together some flavors that I may like and would not be overpowering. I wanted to be able to still taste the juices from the steak. I have always liked balsamic vinaigrette and Dijon mustard so I decided to combine these flavors into a marinade. It is a simple marinade, like most, and can be prepared quite quickly.


¼ Cup Balsamic vinegar

1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon McCormick’s Montreal Grill Seasoning

¾ Cup Olive Oil

Your favorite cut of steak (I used a porterhouse)

Whisk together all ingredients. Place steak in a shallow dish and pour marinade over steak. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Grill until cooked to your specifications.
