I know I already put this recipe in here for the chicken and dumpling recipe but it was so good I had to make its’ own post. This is a super simple recipe that would be great for a quick meal especially on those late work nights or even for the kids. You can dress this sandwich up to each person’s likings.
For my chicken sandwich I added pickles and dipped it in barbecue sauce. My brother dipped his in buffalo sauce. You could use it as a dipping sandwich or squirt some sauce directly on the chicken. This is your own creation. Maybe some honey mustard or even just ketchup.
4 boneless chicken breasts (clean and cut off gross pieces)
Garlic Pepper Salt seasoning (see picture)
4 Sandwich rolls
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Place chicken on baking sheet and season both sides with seasoning. Bake for 15-18 minutes until internal temperature is 165 degrees. Flip half way through.
After you take them out of the oven, with tongs in one hand and a fork in the other, shred the chicken.
Since your oven is slowly cooling down. Place your rolls (already cut) face down in your oven. This will warm the rolls and softens them up just a little.
Assemble your sandwich with your favorite condiments and enjoy!
