Captian Crunch Chicken

Standard

Who does not LOVE Captain Crunch??? I remember eating so much captain crunch that the roof of my mouth would be sore for weeks. It is one of my favorite cereals! So might as well put it on some chicken right? O YESS!!! Captain Crunch chicken is sweet and delicious and everything you would expect. This dish is something not only adults would love but children as well.

Ingredients:

4 Boneless Chicken Breast cut in half to make 8 tenders

1/4 C flour

1 t onion powder

1 t garlic powder

1 t pepper

1 egg

2 T milk

2 T honey

Captain Crunch (with Berries), mashed

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In bowl number 1 combine flour, onion, garlic, and pepper.

In bowl number 2 whisk egg, milk, and honey with a fork.

In a plastic bag crush about 3-4 Cups of Captain Crunch using a rolling-pin until they are fine crumbs. I used Captain Crunch with Berries but if you want you can use just regular Captain Crunch. Either one makes them delicious!

Now the assembly line. Dip chicken in Bowl number 1 and shake off excess flour. Dip into Bowl number 2 until coated and let excess drip off. Finally throw that chicken into the bag of crushed Captain Crunch and completely coat them.

Place them on a cooking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes. Flip them half way through. They will be done when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

ENJOY!!!! πŸ™‚

About kristinegough86

I have the passion to bake and love trying new recipes! I work at a school for children with disabilities as a manager of a cafe. This cafe allows the students learn the ability to work with the public and in the near future I am going to be able to bake with the students and let them learn about the love and passion there is to baking. :) I prefer baking over cooking although I do love to cook as well. I hardly ever repeat a recipe. I love my family, dogs, friends, and job. One day I will have my own bakery and I can not wait. Until then I am going to continue baking my little heart out.
